Cold Wallet
Offline wallet - keys never touch the internet.
Cold wallet = private keys stored on a device disconnected from the internet. Common forms: hardware wallet (Ledger, Trezor), paper wallet, air-gapped computer. Transactions signed offline, then broadcast. Practically immune to remote hacking. Standard for any amount above 1k-5k USD or long-term hold.
In plain words
Your crypto sits on a device that NEVER touches the internet. A remote hacker can't reach you - they'd need to physically steal your Ledger AND know the PIN.
Example
Ledger Nano S Plus 79 EUR - covers BTC + 5000 tokens. Without it you risk exchange or software wallet hacks.
