Breakdown by Protocol

Each DEX protocol percentage share (Uniswap, PancakeSwap, Curve…) of total trading volume.

The protocol breakdown splits total DEX volume across individual decentralized exchanges, showing what percentage of turnover each one accounts for. It is a map of where capital actually flows in the DeFi ecosystem. Heavy concentration in one protocol (e.g. Uniswap v3 at 58%) shows where liquidity and trading activity gather. This is often natural for the deepest markets, but it also means dependence on a single venue. An even spread across many protocols reflects healthy competition and diversified liquidity. Shifts in shares over time are informative: a sudden migration of volume from one protocol to another often accompanies new narratives, incentive programs, or technical issues. Read this parameter alongside total volume and the trade count. Share tells you where the trading is, not whether the market is growing.

In plain words

Shows what slice of all DEX trading each exchange gets. All on one = capital concentrated; spread evenly = healthy competition.

Example

Uniswap v3 accounts for 58% of volume, the rest spread across several protocols. Capital concentrates on the largest, but the market stays competitive. A new protocol suddenly grabbing 40% share usually reflects fresh incentives.
