DEX Trades Total

The total number of DEX trades factored into the score. This is the denominator that bot activity is measured against.

DEX trades total is the overall number of decentralized-exchange trades factored into a given metric, most often the MEV risk score. It serves as the denominator, a reference point. The sandwich-cluster count alone says little without knowing how many trades they were detected across. 30 attacks per 1,000 trades is a completely different scale of problem than 30 attacks per 100,000 trades. That is why the total trade count is always read together with the sandwich-cluster count. Their ratio (the share) shows the real intensity of MEV, not the numbers in isolation. A large total trade count also means a broader, more representative basis for the metric. It is an informational, contextual parameter, not a standalone buy or sell signal.

In plain words

It's „out of how many trades” the metric was computed. The attack count alone means nothing without it. 30 attacks per 1,000 vs per 100,000 is a different scale.

Example

40 sandwich clusters across 2,000 DEX trades is high MEV intensity. The same 40 clusters across 200,000 trades is a marginal problem. Only the ratio gives the numbers meaning.
