Fed Funds Rate

US base interest rate set by Federal Reserve: world's most important rate.

Fed Funds Rate: USD price of money. High (5%+) = money expensive = capital prefers bonds (crypto bear). Low (0-2%) = cheap money = capital chases risk (crypto bull). Markets price cuts 3-6 months ahead.

In plain words

The interest rate set by the US central bank. High rate (5%+) means safe USD bonds pay a lot, so capital flees risky assets (crypto). Low rate (0-2%) pushes capital into risk: that's when crypto pumps hardest.

2020: rate 0-0.25%, BTC 4k→64k (16x). 2022: hikes 0.25%→4.5%, BTC 47k→16k. 2024: cuts 5.5%→4.5%, BTC 42k→100k.
