Flag / Pennant
Short consolidation after a strong move - usually continues the same direction.
Flag: after a strong move (pole), price consolidates in a parallel channel sloped against it. Pennant: consolidation in a small triangle. Both are continuation patterns - after breakout the trend resumes. Lasts 3-15 candles; longer = weaker. Target = pole length added to breakout point. ~75% reliable on higher timeframes.
In plain words
After a strong up-candle, price rests in a narrow channel sloping down - that's a flag. After a short pause it usually continues the original direction.
Example
SOL November 2023: 30->60, 2-week flag 55-60, breakout to 105 in 3 weeks.
