Layer 1 UTXO

Blockchains using UTXO model (Bitcoin, Litecoin, BCH, Dogecoin).

UTXO: account-independent model. Spend whole 'coins' (UTXOs), change returns as new UTXO. More private, parallel. No native smart contracts (BTC Script limited). Members: BTC, LTC, BCH, DOGE. Secure but limited programmability (Lightning, Ordinals, Runes improving).

Bitcoin and its clones (Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Dogecoin) use the UTXO model: instead of a bank-account balance, you have specific 'coins' (UTXOs) you spend whole and get change back. More private and secure, but no built-in smart contracts.

BTC: 21M cap, 10-min blocks, 700+ EH/s. LTC: 84M cap, 2.5-min, Scrypt. BCH: 2017 fork, 10-min, larger blocks. DOGE: 2013 meme, no cap, 1-min, merged mining with LTC.
