Overbought
A state where an asset has risen too fast (e.g. RSI > 70) and may be short-term overheated.
Overbought is a situation where price has risen fast enough that momentum gauges, usually RSI above 70, signal overheating. It's not an automatic reversal signal. In a strong trend an asset can stay overbought for a long time, so a high RSI alone isn't a reason to sell. An overbought list collects coins with RSI above 70. The longer it is and the higher the values, the broader the market's short-term overheating, which is useful as a euphoria gauge. The strongest warning is overbought confirmed by a divergence with price (price rises, RSI no longer does). Treat overbought as a cue to watch more closely and be cautious, not an automatic sell order.

Price has risen too fast and may need to catch its breath. By itself it doesn't mean you must sell. In a strong trend, overbought can last a long time.
Example
BTC at RSI 78 with a divergence (price makes a new high, RSI doesn't) = rising correction risk. A long overbought list across alts at once often accompanies local market tops.
