Sector Driver
The sector's largest, most liquid coin whose moves usually lead the smaller coins (satellites).
In lead-lag analysis (who follows whom), each sector, e.g. Layer 1, DeFi, AI, memecoins, has its driver. This is the dominant coin with the largest cap and liquidity, which reacts first to capital inflows and sets the direction for the whole group. Smaller coins in the sector (satellites) follow the driver with a lag (typically 1–3 hours) and often with amplification (beta > 1). The driver is therefore the reference point. Its clear move is the first cue for the rest of the sector. The relationship is statistical and at hourly resolution. It is a repeatable tendency, not a stopwatch or a recommendation. Trust most the driver–satellite pairs with high correlation strength and a large sample (n).

It's the leader of a coin group. When the biggest coin in a sector moves, the smaller ones usually follow a few hours later. Watch the driver as the first cue for the whole sector.
Example
In the AI sector the driver is often the largest AI token. When it makes a clear move, high-correlation satellites have historically repeated it after 1–3 hours.
