Social Volume
The number of mentions of an asset on social media over a period. This is a measure of crowd attention, not price.
Social volume counts how often an asset is mentioned across social platforms (X, Reddit, Telegram, forums) per unit of time. It is a raw attention counter. Rising volume shows the topic is pulling in a crowd, falling volume that interest is fading. Historically, sharp spikes in mentions accompany local euphoria peaks (the crowd arrives late), while deep silence often maps to accumulation phases when nobody is talking about a project. Volume alone does not tell enthusiasm from panic. Read it together with price direction and sentiment (Fear & Greed): the same numbers during a decline mean fear, during a rally they mean greed. It is a contextual, informational parameter, not a buy or sell signal.
