Watchlist Users

Number of CoinGecko users who added the coin to their watchlist. It serves as a measure of market attention.

Watchlist users is the number of people who saved a given coin on CoinGecko to track its price. It is a rough proxy for retail attention and interest. It shows how many people have the project 'on their radar' even if they haven't bought it yet. A rising follower count signals growing interest and can be a leading indicator of increasing activity. On its own, though, it is not a price-direction signal: attention can rise both before a breakout and during panic. Read it as sentiment context alongside indicators like Fear & Greed.

In plain words

How many people on CoinGecko added the coin to their watchlist. Many followers = the project is 'on the radar' of lots of people. A rising number shows growing interest, but it doesn't tell you whether the price will go up or down.

Example

A coin whose watchlist count jumps from 50k to 200k in a few weeks is drawing retail attention. This is often accompanied by rising volume and volatility.
