Spike / Quiet Badges

Automatic flags for days with whale activity far above (spike) or below (quiet) the average.

A spike marks a day when the count or volume of whale transactions clearly broke the typical level (a statistical anomaly versus the recent average). Quiet is the opposite, big-player activity well below normal. These are anomaly flags, not a directional signal: a spike often precedes or accompanies elevated volatility, so it's worth checking the direction of flows (exchange inflows vs outflows). A run of quiet badges usually describes a consolidation phase, large players are waiting.

In plain words

The system flags days when whales were unusually active (spike) or unusually calm (quiet). A spike signals something unusual is happening, check whether big money is moving in or out. Quiet is silence, often before a move.

Example

A spike in whale transaction count combined with large exchange inflows = historically heightened supply pressure. A week of only quiet badges with flat price = calm before a breakout.
