Zcash Plunges 8.16% as Bitcoin Defends the $77,000 Level
Redakcja CryptoPulsar ·
Bitcoin slips 1.00% to $77,164 as the crypto market cap stands at $2.72T. Zcash loses 8.16% after a weekly gain of 18.40%, while Ethereum stays in the green at +0.31%. In the background, $3B in BTC and ETH options expire as traders cut risk.
The crypto market on September 10, 2026 is in a cautious correction, not a panic sell-off. Bitcoin is down 1.00% to $77,164, with a $1.55T market cap and $30.15B in daily volume, while total crypto market capitalization stands at $2.72T. The sharpest blow in the top 10 lands on Zcash, which falls 8.16% to $1,140 even as it still posts +18.40% over 7 days. Ethereum is the only major smart-contract leader in the top 5 to close the day in the green, up 0.31% at $2,458. In the background, $3B in Bitcoin and Ethereum options expire, and ETH traders are shifting defensively toward puts. On-chain data from CryptoPulsar's market cycle show mixed momentum: Bitcoin RSI at 60.6, a 36.5k ETH outflow from exchanges in 4 hours, and 84 large transfers on Solana. The picture points to profit-taking and risk reduction, not a liquidity breakdown.
Top gainers and losers in the top 10
Among the 10 largest assets by market cap, the session splits into a narrow group of gainers and a clearly broader group of losers. In the green are Figure Heloc (+1.04%), TRON (+0.69%) and Ethereum (+0.31%). The steepest declines belong to Zcash (-8.16%), XRP (-2.71%) and Solana (-1.34%). Bitcoin, BNB and the rest of the large names are moving in a tight negative range. That structure points to selective pressure on altcoins, not an even dump across the entire market.
| Crypto | Price | 24h | Cap. |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bitcoin (BTC) | $77,164 | -1.00% | $1.55T |
| Ethereum (ETH) | $2,458 | +0.31% | $300B |
| Tether (USDT) | $1.000 | +0.00% | $183B |
| BNB (BNB) | $715 | -0.79% | $95.2B |
| XRP (XRP) | $1.35 | -2.71% | $84.9B |
| USDC (USDC) | $1.000 | +0.01% | $74.1B |
| Solana (SOL) | $99.99 | -1.34% | $58.6B |
| TRON (TRX) | $0.3408 | +0.69% | $32.4B |
| Figure Heloc | $1.03 | +1.04% | $23.1B |
| Zcash (ZEC) | $1,140 | -8.16% | $19.3B |
The second table shows that the 7-day horizon is more bearish than the day itself. Bitcoin is down 5.30%, XRP 8.30%, Solana 4.90%, Ethereum 1.90%, BNB 1.40%. The exceptions are TRON (+2.40%) and Zcash, which despite today's plunge still holds +18.40% on the week. That 7d versus 24h divergence is the main clue of the session: capital is closing out a speculative move in ZEC, not fleeing the entire market at the same pace.
| Crypto | 7d | 24h Vol. | ATH |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bitcoin | -5.30% | $30.15B | $126,080 |
| Ethereum | -1.90% | $15.31B | $4,946 |
| BNB | -1.40% | $1.09B | $1,370 |
| XRP | -8.30% | $2.23B | $3.65 |
| Solana | -4.90% | $2.95B | $293.31 |
| TRON | +2.40% | $374M | $0.4313 |
| Figure Heloc | -0.30% | $117M | $1.061 |
| Zcash | +18.40% | $1.40B | $3,192 |
Bitcoin at $77,164: a correction without on-chain panic
Bitcoin remains the No. 1 asset with a $1.55T market cap, which at a total market cap of $2.72T implies a share of about 56.9%. The $77,164 price sits well below the $126,080 ATH. Circulating supply is 20,082,468 BTC against a maximum supply of 21,000,000 BTC, so the network is already very close to the emission cap. Daily volume of $30.15B keeps BTC at the center of liquidity, but it is not enough to reverse a negative day and week.
Data from CryptoPulsar's market cycle give Bitcoin a score of 29.3/50. Over the past day the network processed about 1.18 million transactions, pointing to stable, genuine user activity, but without a jump in demand. RSI stands at 60.6 and remains in the neutral zone. MACD is still bearish, while the EMA 9/21 crossover flashed a bullish signal. That split in the indicators explains why the price is slipping gently rather than cascading.
A low positive funding rate of about 0.006% suggests the market is not overleveraged. Any breakout would therefore not necessarily face a violent squeeze from long liquidations. If transaction counts stay above one million per day, sell pressure may ease gradually, but MACD still needs confirmation of bullish momentum. This is not investment advice, only a reading of current metrics.
The data suggest a mixed short-term picture for Bitcoin: network activity is stable (about 1.18 million transactions), RSI at 60.6 does not signal panic, funding around 0.006% is low, but MACD remains bearish, and the price is down 1.00% to $77,164 with the week at -5.30%.
Ethereum in the green as 36.5k ETH leave exchanges
Ethereum is the second-largest asset with a $300B market cap and a price of $2,458. The daily change of +0.31% sets ETH apart from Bitcoin, BNB and XRP. On a 7-day view ETH is still down 1.90%, and the ATH remains distant at $4,946. Volume of $15.31B ranks second after pairs with stablecoins and BTC. Circulating supply is 122,035,557 ETH.
The market cycle assigns ETH a score of 25.4/50, the lowest among the five large networks covered, but the on-chain picture is relatively constructive. The latest data show a net outflow from exchanges of about 36.5k ETH over 4 hours. More coins are leaving trading platforms than arriving. In the past hour at least 100 large whale transfers were detected, including moves of about 6.9k, 4.8k and 2.9k ETH.
Such a drop in exchange-available supply can limit selling pressure if the outflow trend holds. RSI at 61 and a bullish EMA 9/21 crossover support a mildly positive picture. The ETH funding rate remains neutral, and on-chain activity is about 1.01 million transactions per day. At the same time, Crypto Briefing reports that $3B in Bitcoin and Ethereum options are expiring, and ETH traders are shifting defensively toward puts. The green print on the spot price therefore comes with caution in the options market.
Bitquery records further large ETH transfers from 2026-09-09 22:21 UTC. Among them are transfers of 1,986.57 ETH, 1,041.50 ETH (several times), 813.00 ETH, 570.63 ETH and pairs of 339.14 ETH. The transfers alone do not say whether this is accumulation, rotation between wallets or preparation to sell. Combined with the 36.5k ETH exchange outflow, the data suggest funds being moved rather than a sudden wave of supply hitting the order book.
