Active Addresses
What it shows
Active addresses count how many unique wallets actually transacted in the last 24 hours: a measure of real network usage.
How to read it
Alignment with price matters most: when activity rises with price, the gain has a foundation. A divergence (price up, addresses down) has historically preceded corrections.
Parameters
- Active addresses count
- A rising count with a stable price signals real adoption, not just speculation.
- Positive reading: Rising active addresses: healthy growth in real network usage.
- Negative reading: Falling addresses while price rises: historically a warning that price is driven by speculation.
- Neutral reading: Stable activity: the network used at an even pace.
Example
611k active addresses and a rising trend: real, growing network usage that historically supported the durability of a move. Falling addresses on a rising price is a warning divergence; a stable level is a neutral, healthy backdrop.
