BTC Whale Summary
What it shows
A compact summary of whale activity for Bitcoin over the last 60 days in one card. It combines the activity trend (rising / falling / stable), key statistics (total transactions, daily average, active days, peak day) and a short list of the latest large BTC alerts from Whale Alert. A single pulse of big money on BTC.
How to read it
Start with the trend as a mood headline, then drop to the statistics to gauge its scale: a rising trend with a high active-days ratio is a steady, growing big-money presence. Remember the trend speaks to intensity, not price direction. Read direction from the alert list (inflows vs outflows). Practical takeaway: when the trend is rising and the recent average clearly exceeds the 60-day average, treat it as a period of heightened whale engagement and a reason to watch BTC more closely.
Parameters
- Activity trend
- Compares the last 7-day average with the prior 7 days: rising, falling or stable.
- Positive reading: Rising (+15% or more): increasing big-money engagement in BTC.
- Negative reading: Falling (-15% or more): whales pull back from activity, a weakening market pulse.
- Neutral reading: Stable: activity comparable to the prior week, no clear change.
- Total transactions
- The sum of all large BTC transactions (>$1M) over the full 60-day window.
- Neutral reading: A measure of the overall scale of whale activity: context for period comparisons.
- Daily average
- The average number of large BTC transactions per day over the 60-day window.
- Neutral reading: A normality line: compare it with the recent average in the header to judge if the pulse is accelerating.
- Active days
- The number of days with any whale activity versus the total days in the period.
- Positive reading: A high ratio (e.g. 55/60): continuous, steady big-money presence.
- Neutral reading: A low ratio: activity concentrated in short, infrequent bursts.
- Peak day
- The date with the most large BTC transactions in the period, with the count in brackets.
- Neutral reading: Marks the moment of maximum intensity, an anchor for analyzing what happened that day.
- Latest BTC alerts (Whale Alert)
- A short list of up to 5 recent large BTC transactions with amount, addresses and date.
- Neutral reading: Concrete examples behind the statistics, as they show which moves made up the trend.
Example
The card shows a „rising” trend, 2,400 total transactions, 40 daily average, 56/60 active days, and a recent average of 58 transactions/day. The alert list reveals several exchange outflows of $40–70M. Rising intensity with outflows dominating is historically accumulation-style behavior, which is a cue to cross-check this against price and flow direction from the other widgets.
