ETF Flows (spot BTC/ETH)
What it shows
How much money entered the exchange-traded funds for Bitcoin and Ethereum over a day, and how much left them. A positive balance means the funds bought more than they sold (fresh capital reached the market), a negative one means investors pulled money out. The widget shows the latest day with data together with its DATE, the total for the whole window, and the funds' asset value. The data is entered by the CryptoPulsar desk from issuer reports, because no free, stable API publishes these numbers.
How to read it
Always start with the date on the latest reading. A single outflow day after a week of inflows says something entirely different from a week of outflows in a row, and a weekend gap is not an outflow. A single day can be noisy, so compare it with the window total and check whether the bars hold one direction. Putting BTC next to ETH shows whether capital is flowing into both instruments or only one. If the widget warns the data is stale, treat the numbers as history rather than a picture of today. This describes money that has already moved, meaning it is not a price forecast and not investment advice.
Parameters
- Latest day balance
- The net flow for the most recent day we have an entry for, together with its date. It does NOT have to be today. The funds do not trade on weekends and holidays, and an entry appears once issuers publish their data.
- Window total
- Flows summed over the last 30 days, with the number of days we actually have data for. A smaller day count means there are gaps in the window, so we never fill them with zeros.
- Fund assets
- The funds' total net assets as of the latest entry, when reported. It grows both from inflows and from price appreciation alone, so do not read it as a measure of demand.
- Daily chart
- Bars of daily balances across the window: green for inflows, red for outflows. Days without an entry simply have no bar, instead of a fake zero.
Example
The latest day with data is Friday: Bitcoin +$412M, with a window total of +$2.1B over 21 days. Read it like this: on Friday $412M entered the funds, and over the last month (counting only the 21 trading days we have) $2.1B flowed in overall. Saturday and Sunday have no bars because the funds do not trade then, not because the balance was zero.
