Liquidity Pressure (sector accumulation/dump)
What it shows
A scoring layer over raw market data that, for each sector, measures capital pressure (accumulation vs distribution), how safe it is to exit, and a directional probability of a move over the next 1–3h with a confidence level. A compass for sector rotation, meaning where capital flows in and out. Inputs are ~hourly, so it's an indicative picture, not a recommendation.
How to read it
Read a row as a whole: a positive PressureScore (accumulation) + high SafeExitScore + bullish direction with a high % and high confidence is the strongest, coherent sector setup. Watch the trap: strong pressure with a low SafeExitScore means even a correct move will be hard to realize without slippage. Always check n and confidence, as a small sample is only indicative. Practical takeaway: give the most weight to sectors where pressure, liquidity and confidence all point the same way.
Parameters
- PressureScore
- A gauge from -100 (distribution/dump) to +100 (accumulation): is net capital entering or leaving the sector.
- Positive reading: Clearly positive (green): historically an accumulation zone, capital flowing into the sector.
- Negative reading: Clearly negative (red): historically a distribution zone, supply dominates and capital leaves.
- Neutral reading: Near zero: supply and demand balance, no clear rotation.
- SafeExitScore
- A read on whether the sector has enough liquidity and demand to enter or exit without moving the price.
- Positive reading: High (≥55, green shield): liquidity and demand are present, lower slippage risk.
- Negative reading: Low (amber shield): a thin market, exiting can be hard and costly (slippage).
- Direction & Probability 1–3h
- Estimated direction (up/down/neutral) and the % chance of that move within a 1–3h window.
- Positive reading: Bullish direction at a high %: a historically favorable setup for the sector.
- Negative reading: Bearish direction at a high %: historically elevated downside risk.
- Neutral reading: Low % or neutral direction: a weak signal, no clear edge.
- Confidence & Sample (n)
- The confidence level (Low/Medium/High) and the sample size (n) the result is based on.
- Positive reading: High confidence with a large n: the result is more reliable.
- Negative reading: Low confidence or a small n: an indicative result, easily noise.
- Neutral reading: Medium confidence: moderate trust in the signal.
Example
AI sector: PressureScore +62 (green, accumulation), SafeExitScore 71 (green shield), bullish 68%, High confidence, n=240, is a coherent, reliable inflow profile. Contrast: memecoin sector +40, but SafeExitScore 28 and Low confidence, which means pressure is there, but thin liquidity makes the signal risky.
