Live whale transfers
What it shows
A near-real-time stream of the largest whale transfers (cross-chain, above 100 ETH, from the last hour). For each move it shows the amount, the time, and the source and destination address with labels and category (exchange, private wallet, etc.).
How to read it
Do not react to a single transfer, look for a pattern: a series of large moves in one direction matters more than an isolated transfer. Route context is key: deposits to exchanges raise supply pressure, withdrawals favor accumulation. Practical takeaway: repeated whale withdrawals from exchanges are historically a bullish-flow lean.
Parameters
- Transfer amount
- The size of a single whale transfer together with the token symbol.
- Neutral reading: A larger amount = greater potential market impact, but direction depends on source and destination.
- From → To path
- Sender and receiver addresses with labels and category color (exchange, private wallet, contract).
- Positive reading: From an exchange to a private wallet: a withdrawal, historically an accumulation lean.
- Negative reading: From a private wallet to an exchange: possible staging for selling, supply pressure.
- Neutral reading: Between unlabeled addresses: a move without clear interpretation.
- Time
- How long ago the transfer occurred (a short timestamp).
- Neutral reading: Fresh, time-clustered transfers carry more information than isolated older moves.
Example
Within 20 minutes five transfers of 200–400 ETH appear, all from labeled exchanges to private wallets: a clustered withdrawal series suggesting accumulation. The opposite setup (several large exchange deposits in a row) has historically foreshadowed rising supply pressure.
