Token Unlock Calendar

What it shows

A calendar of scheduled one-off token unlocks (cliff type) for the coins we track: these are the days when a predetermined batch from the team, investor or ecosystem allocation enters circulation. Each event shows its date, the number of tokens, their share of circulating supply, and a USD value computed at our price as of the update. Continuous linear emissions are not listed, because they are an even stream rather than a dated event.

How to read it

Read the calendar as a list of dates worth noting, not as an announcement of declines. Pay attention above all to the share of supply and the share of daily volume: a $30M batch against $500M of daily turnover dissolves without a trace, while the same amount against $20M is an entirely different situation. An unlock does not mean the tokens hit exchanges immediately: some stay with the team, some go to staking or a treasury. Values are computed at the price as of the update, so with a volatile market they are approximate. We only show coins we hold in our database, so this is not a complete calendar of the whole market. This is not investment advice.

Parameters

Next 7 days
The combined value of unlocks falling in the coming week and how many there are. If we have no price for a coin, its value is left out of the total; we never substitute a zero.
Large unlocks
How many events are flagged as large, which means those whose value exceeds a set share of that coin's daily trading volume. With no volume in the data, an event is not flagged at all.
Share of circulating supply
What percentage of the coins already in circulation this batch represents. It is a fairer measure of scale than the raw token count, as 10M tokens means one thing against a 50M supply and quite another against 50 billion.
Share of daily volume
The unlock value divided by the coin's daily trading volume. The higher the share, the harder such a batch is for the market to absorb if it hits the order book; but that is a condition, not a prediction.

Example

In 5 days, an unlock of 44M tokens of one coin: 1.8% of circulating supply, worth $62M, which equals 140% of its daily volume. The event is flagged as large. Read it like this: a batch worth more than a whole typical trading day for that coin may reach the market, so the date is worth watching. Another event the same week, worth $3M at 0.2% of supply, is in practice negligible.
