Volume Leaders
What it shows
The top 5 cryptocurrencies by trading volume over the last 24 hours. For each it shows the ranking position, symbol, current price and turnover value. A quick picture of where liquidity and trader attention are concentrated.
How to read it
Volume is the fuel for price moves: a rise or fall backed by heavy volume is more reliable than one on a thin market. A smaller coin suddenly appearing among the leaders signals a surge of interest, often around news or a breakout. Practical takeaway: before treating a price move as meaningful, check that volume confirms it; a price rise without turnover is often a trap.
Parameters
- 24h Volume
- The total turnover value of a coin (buying + selling) over the last 24 hours.
- Positive reading: High and rising alongside a price move: the move has liquidity and confirmation.
- Negative reading: A price move on low volume: weak, prone to reversal and easier to manipulate.
- Neutral reading: A steady, typical level: no unusual interest.
- Ranking (Top 5)
- The coin's place among the five most heavily traded over the last day.
- Neutral reading: An unusual coin appearing high in the ranking is worth investigating; informational.
- Price
- The coin's current price in the selected currency.
- Neutral reading: A reference value: combine it with volume to judge the strength of a move.
Example
A smaller altcoin jumps to 3rd place with a 24h volume of $1.2B (several times its usual average) right after a major announcement. That is a surge of liquidity and attention worth investigating. By contrast, a leader with a flat price and near-average volume means calm, routine trading.
