Whale Activity Chart
What it shows
A bar chart of daily whale activity for a chosen token (BTC, ETH or XRP) over the last 60 days. Each bar is the number of whale transactions (>$1M USD) on that day. Below the chart you see the daily average, the peak day and the number of days with data, and a warning flags when the data is stale.
How to read it
First confirm the data is fresh (no warning), then compare the bars against the daily average; that is your normality line. A single tall outlier bar says „lots of movement” but does not reveal direction, so pair it with the alert-feed widget. Switch tokens to check where whale activity runs highest. Practical takeaway: a sustained run of bars above the average is a period of heightened big-money engagement and a reason to watch the chosen token more closely.
Parameters
- Daily transaction count (bar)
- The bar height = the number of whale transactions (>$1M) of the chosen token in a single day.
- Positive reading: A rising run of bars: increasing big-money engagement in this token.
- Negative reading: A sudden single spike above the baseline: a concentration of moves that needs its direction checked.
- Neutral reading: Low, even bars: a calm period without heightened whale activity.
- Daily average
- The average number of whale transactions per day across the full 60-day window.
- Neutral reading: A baseline: bars clearly above the average are days of unusual activity.
- Peak
- The highest number of whale transactions recorded on a single day of the period.
- Neutral reading: A reference point for the chart scale: it shows how extreme the most active day was.
- Token selector (BTC / ETH / XRP)
- A toggle that changes which token the whale-activity chart is drawn for.
- Neutral reading: Compare the same periods across tokens to see where whale capital is more active.
- Data freshness
- A warning shown when the newest entry is more than 7 days old. The data may be out of date.
- Neutral reading: When you see the stale-data warning, read the chart cautiously, as the sync needs activation.
Example
For BTC the daily average is ~40 transactions, but for three days in a row the bars reach 90, 110 and 130, with the period peak at 130. Such a run clearly above the average is a period of heightened whale activity, so it is worth checking flow direction in the alert feed to understand whether it is accumulation or selling pressure.
