Whale Alert Feed (live)
What it shows
A live stream of the largest transactions (>$1M USD) gathered from the Whale Alert Telegram channel and blockchain intelligence. Each entry shows the direction (exchange inflow, exchange outflow, large transaction, transfer), the alert severity, the amount and the sender and receiver addresses. It is a real-time wiretap on big-money moves.
How to read it
Read direction together with scale: a run of large exchange inflows raises potential selling pressure, while a run of outflows is historically accumulation-style behavior. A single alert is an anecdote. What matters is a pattern of many entries in the same direction plus a spike in the daily stat. Practical takeaway: when the list fills with critical exchange inflows alongside a rising daily change, treat it as a sign of elevated risk and a reason to watch price more closely.
Parameters
- Flow direction
- Where the coins go: onto an exchange (inflow), off an exchange (outflow), a large transaction or a plain transfer.
- Positive reading: Exchange outflow: coins move to private wallets, historically accumulation-style behavior (HODL).
- Negative reading: Exchange inflow: whales send coins to exchanges, historically a rise in potential selling pressure.
- Neutral reading: Transfer or large transaction between wallets, with no clear exchange direction.
- Transaction types: how to read them
- Large transaction: a huge move between unknown wallets (a sign of capital activity with no clear direction). Transfer: funds shifting, often internal (exchange, custodian) (usually neutral). Exchange outflow: coins leave an exchange for private wallets (historically accumulation, less supply available to sell). Exchange inflow: coins arrive on an exchange (historically preparation to sell, potential supply pressure).
- Neutral reading: A single alert is just a signal, patterns matter: repeated exchange inflows in a short window have historically preceded volatility, while waves of outflows accompanied accumulation phases.
- Alert severity
- Four importance tiers: Critical, High, Medium, Low. The higher it is, the larger and more meaningful the amount.
- Positive reading: Low / Medium: routine whale movement, part of everyday background activity.
- Negative reading: Critical: a single huge-scale move, historically worth investigating immediately.
- Neutral reading: The number of siren icons reflects the alert scale, which is a visual shortcut to severity.
- Amount (USD)
- The transaction value in dollars, formatted as K / M / B (thousands / millions / billions).
- Neutral reading: The larger the amount, the more significant the move; B-scale amounts are rare, meaningful events.
- Daily stats (Today / Yesterday / Change)
- The count of alerts today and yesterday plus the percentage change: the pace of whale activity.
- Positive reading: A steady, moderate level of alerts: a market without sudden shocks.
- Negative reading: A sharp jump in the change (e.g. +120%): a sudden wave of big-money moves, heightened attention.
- Neutral reading: A change near zero: activity comparable to the previous day.
Example
Within an hour five critical „Exchange Inflow” entries of $30–80M each appear, and the daily stat jumps +95%. That is a concentrated wave of whale transfers onto exchanges, which is historically a rise in selling pressure and a cue to watch more closely. The opposite setup, a run of outflows from exchanges to private wallets, is historically accumulation-style behavior.
